A two-story, 70,000-square-foot vertical expansion will add a fifth and sixth floor to the existing main patient tower. The new sixth floor will accommodate 40 medical/surgical patient rooms along with all required support spaces, while the fifth floor will provide classroom space, offices, on-call rooms, and shelled storage space for future use.

To comply with International Building Code requirements for high-rise facilities, the project also includes a renovation of the existing first-floor fire command center. In addition, the existing dietary area on the ground floor will be renovated, and the central energy plant will be expanded by 3,000 square feet to house a new chiller and cooling tower.
